Lesser Celandine (Ranunculus ficaria)
Dog mill pond
The whole bankings along the little beck that goes through the area I call dog mill pond is covered in
On the banks of the Beck.
Have been watching this plant for over a week to see when it first came into flower, last year I recorded them in April. I had just started looking at Wild Flowers then so was probable a little late. This year has been so mild, every thing is out a little earlier.
On the walk round to record the "Church Wall " noticed some more Celandine flowering on the side of the road. I have only seen this flower on the banks of streams or it is very damp. There are little streams all over Yeadon and Guiseley, but not one running past these flowers.
